The Evil Within 2 is the sequel to The Evil Within.
Plot[]
Detective Sebastian Castellanos has lost everything, including his daughter, Lily. But when he is contacted by Julie Kidman, who works for a shady organization known as Mobius, and told that his daughter has been alive this whole time and being used as a "core" for a STEM before she went missing, he find himself with an opportunity to get her back. Sebastian, in his unique position as a survivor of the STEM at Beacon Mental Hospital, and Lily's father, might be the only person who can save her. Horrifying threats emerge from every corner, and he must rely on his wits to survive. For his one chance at redemption, the only way out is in.
Marketing and release[]
The game was revealed at E3 2017, and is scheduled to release on October 13 of the same year, only 4 months after the initial reveal.
